Elizabete Vizgunova works as a researcher at the PPMI. Elizabete has previously worked in several think-tanks and research centres in Belgium, France, Estonia and Latvia, focusing on international relations and security studies. She was particularly interested in gender security and societal security in her previous engagements. These interests are now being further explored in her PhD dissertation on gender security in conflict. As a part of her academic track, she is engaged in several projects researching the role of gender in the societal value system of Latvia, and the role of sexual minorities in Latvia, past and present. Her work at the PPMI presently focuses on the social dimension of education within the Network of Experts working on the Social dimension of Education and Training (NESET).
