This contract was designed to contribute to institutional, administrative and growth-sustaining structural reforms in Austria. PPMI and WIFO provided services to the Austrian authorities by supporting their capacity to formulate, develop and implement reform policies and strategies. Our team contributed to the efforts of national authorities to define and implement appropriate processes and methodologies by taking into account good practices and lessons learned by other countries in similar situations.
Our team prepared a technical report defining an appropriate input and output indicators to measure public spending efficiency. We developed an analytical model to measure and benchmark public spending efficiency in the sectoral categories of general public services as well as pre-school and compulsory education.
