Study "VET financing mechanisms in selected EU member states"

The study provided the first comprehensive overview of VET public and private cost-sharing mechanisms and regulatory instruments across the countries, which had only recently acceded to the EU (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Romania). The study was based on data collected through surveys and interviews. It maped and evaluated cost-sharing mechanisms, provided a comparative qualitative analysis of relationships between the characteristics of cost-sharing mechanisms and the private financing of VET, and a regression analysis of contextual influences on the private financing and participation in VET.
