2012 Europass evaluation
The main objective of the evaluation was to analyse the role and tasks of Europass and its different documents within the EU policy framework, and its achievements. The evaluation focused on 2009-2012 - the period not covered by the first external evaluation of Europass that was completed in 2008. The evaluators adopted a theory-based evaluation design and drew on a number of recognised methods for data collection and analysis, including desk research, interviews, surveys, descriptive and inferential statistics, SWOT analysis, and expert panel. On this basis they suggested a number of ways to further improve the reach and take-up this very successful EU initiative and its individual documents and to foster the synergies of Europass with other related European policy initiatives and tools (such as EQF, ECVET, ESCO and others).
