PPMI will continue helping to design and execute growth-enhancing structural reforms in EU Member States

The Structural Reform Support Service (SRSS) of the European Commission selected a consortium involving PPMI to provide consultancy services for the development and implementation of structural reforms in EU Member States. The Framework Contract is comprised of three types of services: policy and strategy development; assessment of service provision and/or reorganisation proposals; and consultancy assistance for reform implementation. These services will be provided in different sectors, ranging from governance and public administration to labour market, health and social services.

In cooperation with its partners and external experts, PPMI will assist the administrations of individual EU Member States and the SRSS itself with the formulation and implementation of reforms related to the Commission’s country-specific recommendations and the achievement of Europe 2020 targets in the framework of the European semester. PPMI successfully carried the study on the use of flanking measures in the EU and their implementation to the Lithuanian context in order to increase the effectiveness of the Lithuanian insolvency framework. Also, PPMI is delivering the project ’Support for developing country knowledge on public administration’ for the SRSS to further develop a consistent overview of the characteristics and performance of public administrations in EU Member States.

The Structural Reform Support Service was created in 2015 to assist EU Member States in designing and carrying out structural reforms. The general objective of the structural support programme is to contribute to institutional, administrative and growth-sustaining structural reforms in EU Member States by providing support to national authorities as part of their efforts to support job creation and sustainable growth. The volume of EU funding allocated to this programme increased from EUR 22.5 million in 2017 to EUR 79.3 million in 2019.
