PPMI to conduct a study on the use of soft (flanking) policy measures accompanying insolvency frameworks in the EU and their implementation in Lithuania

The study on the use of flanking measures in the EU and their implementation to the Lithuanian context is commissioned by the European Commission, Structural Reform and Support Service (SRSS), with the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Lithuania being the beneficiary of the study.

The general objective of this project is to increase the effectiveness of the Lithuanian insolvency framework. The purpose of the study is to overview flanking policy measures in the EU, to analyse most suitable flanking policy measures and to suggest how these recommended measures could be implemented in Lithuania. The study will employ several different research methods, including desk research, a survey of responsible authorities and other policy stakeholders in the EU MS, case studies and interviews. At the end of the project, a conference will be held, where the results of the study will be presented and the proposed system of flanking policy measures for Lithuania will be discussed.

This project will be completed by June, 2019.
