The study on Digital Government Transformation, commissioned by the JRC, is gaining momentum! On 13-14 of May, PPMI team attended the first workshop on the study results at the JRC‘s site in Ispra, Italy. We presented an extensive literature and policy review (almost 500 sources!) on the recent digital developments in the public sector to the audience of top-notch researchers in this field, as well as representatives of the European Commission, United Nations and OECD. Their feedback (generally very positive) will help us to finalise this part of the project and move to the empirical phase – case studies and behavioural experiments.
Together with partners Open Evidence, Politecnico di Milano and Rand Europe, we are planning to implement four case studies with experiments in at least four EU countries – including Lithuania. In Ispra, PPMI presented the initial ideas of a case study on the data-driven transformation in Vilnius. It received quite a lot of interest and high expectations from the stakeholders. The initial case study results will be presented in the Policy Lab in October.
