The European Commission's Directorate General for Education and Culture commissioned PPMI to carry out a study on the impact of two important actions of the Erasmus+ programme – Strategic Partnerships in Higher Education and Knowledge Alliances. Following the 2011 EU Communication on the Modernisation Agenda for Higher Education, both activities aim to contribute to the modernisation of Europe's Higher Education systems.
The assignment concerns the assessment of the coverage of policy priorities in supported projects and their policy impact at local, national and European levels on the modernisation of Higher Education systems. The study will be based on in-depth desk research, a large-scale case study programme, around 200 interviews with key stakeholders and a complex survey programme. PPMI is set to identify areas for improvement which will affect the structure and management arrangements of future transnational cooperation actions in the field of Higher Education.
The project will be implemented in cooperation with experts from the AIT Austrian Institute of Technology. The final study findings are expected by the end of 2018. For more information about the study project please contact Vitalis Nakrošis.
